She is beautiful!!! And how sweet! Will she lay really blue eggs?

She should! I got her from Chicken Scratch Poultry... (10/10 would recommend - the lady, Angie, was awesome to me). This is a pic from their site showing the color eggs her line produces... the bright teal eggs in this bowl:

Well not egg related... But ....

We are camping this weekend and I figured Annabelle would sleep in the nest box all weekend since she won't roost on her own. I have to go out at night and put her up, well I show her how to get up. Well tonight she went on the roost all by herself!!!!! Very proud chicken mama that FINALLY at 26 weeks they are all roosting on their own!!! Lol. Sure hope my next batch pick it up sooner. Lol

WOOOO! That is wonderful news. I'm glad she decided to do it on her own and you don't have to worry about collecting her each night haha. Wanna bet that someone lays their first egg while you are away? really though... camping sounds so great right now. Beautiful weather for it - I hope y'all have a great time!

Oh I bet someone will!!! I actually asked them this morning if that was their plan. Haahaa. Nothing better than camping, relaxing and spending time with family and friends. ....... Well hmmm maybe the first egg is.
