IT HAPPENED!!!

Nugget came in and was walking around and staring at her FOREVER (probably an hour) then finally went into her box (they lay in different boxes. LOL)

And niceeee on 2 eggies again today! They are such good little layers

I made a egg casserole for the fam this morning and cracked that bad boy open- double yolk!!

Yummmmmmmm!!! That is so rewarding! I never knew how much better the eggs taste compared to store eggs. It is a real eye-opener!

I've heard some people washing the egg shells and grinding them up into powder for either their garden or to add to their feeders for the girls to add some extra calcium to thier diet

I save all of my shells, rinse them and just kind of crush them up. I put them out with the other free choice oyster shell for the girls. It's very good for them! I only write in pencil on my eggs, so I'm not too sure about the stamp ink (sorry!)

an even dozen in 5 days so not too bad for only 3 laying. I can't imagine what I will have when all 7 lay! I am going to feel "rich" with eggs. haahaa and then when I get my 8 more next year and have 15 laying. wow I will supply my whole family with eggs.

Congrats on all the eggs!! My two easter eggers eggs are basically the same except one of the eggs is a little lighter than the other

That is a good amount of eggs in 5 days! I'm also looking forward to 15 laying... when I start getting a dozen a day I'm going to be so so so excited. (We have a huge family and we eat a lot of eggs LOL)

My goodness, she is a beauty! She does look quite a bit like my Zoingo... just a darker "steel grey", which is quite becoming thanks for sharing your lovely girl with us!!!

A dozen a day!? Wow, I cannot imagine. I thought I ate a lot of eggs. Will you sell them or gift them away? I give out a half dozen a week to friends and still have a full carton on stand by. I get about 21-24 eggs a week. Once a week I try to make something egg heavy like a breakfast casserole or this coming week for thanksgiving deviled eggs will be the option. However we only have a family of 3 (humans of course lol)

Annabelle laid #4 for the week first thing this morning.

I am guessing with my 3 laying I will get around 15 a week. I go in spurts of egg eating, but we do a breakfast casserole, or Hawaiian roll breakfast sandwiches, or quiche at least once every other week.

I have given some away here and there will be more once I start getting more. I may sell some here and there to some that have asked to buy them but for "cheap" at like $3/dz to help with food cost. But I feel bad charging family. Lol
