LOL I would be more likely to get breeds my kids want if they did anything at all with the chickens or even went out to go see them but they don't. I had them all pick out the breeds they wanted last year (including my daughters boyfriend. LOL) and they haven't been out to see them since they were a few months old.you should get black copper marans, Sicilian buttercup ( for your daughter!) Because don't you need to get breeds your kids want?and you should get buff brhamas! And "accidentally" order four ducklings!
But I will still probably get the Sicilian buttercup she wants because I am a sucker. LOL Funny thing is the SF is the one she picked last year! haahaa.I know for a fact I am doing:
1- Buff Brahma
1- Olive Egger
1- Blue Rock
1 or 2 - EE (probably 2)
Then hatching out some Cochins once my blue Cochin starts to lay.
IF I can find them or manage to get them (one place is about 40 min from me that I can pre-order them.... the 2nd place is about 30 min away but no pre order and first come first serve and people get in line 1.5-2 hrs early for them and I can't do that)
1- Cream Legbar
1- Black Copper Marans
1- Sicilian Buttercup.
So that would be 8, then keep 1-2 that I hatch. But that does put me at 3.55 sq ft of coop space per chicken if I do that.......
LOL on the ducklings!!!!!! Thinking those aren't in the cards this year.
