I am strongly against it most of the time, but you have already tried most things that will help or stop it. If it's a situation of last resort, then it's a consideration.
Just be sure to find someone that is good at it and only do the front paws. My older cat was declawed by her first owner - all four feet! She has a lot of troubles from it, but from what I can tell, it wasn't done well at all. I believe it causes her discomfort and she is very picky about litter - I think some litter hurts her.
She has no behavior issues as a result - she is actually a very sweet cat. Have no idea what she was like before the declawing. She does scratch like crazy - more than my cat with claws - but uses the scratchers.
