Well, my japanese bantam if a pretty little hen, but she doesnt really care for me so I cant get too close to her very often, even though i hatched her myself

Anyways, I managed to grab her today because her eye looked infected and when I finally was able to get a closer look, I have no idea what it is! One eye is fine, but the other eye has a sore growing on her eyelid which is affecting her. I live in texas where its really hot if that may have something to do with it.

Can anyone tell me what this is? And how to treat it? ANd will it affect my other hens?

Thanks in advance for your input!

If it is dry pox, it will go away with no long term problems. It isn't dangerous. That said, I don't know if it is dry pox though it looks kind of like pictures I've seen. You might try searching this forum for more info.
