I love how you find them a place to stay at your place.we have had our share of stray/lost chickens.one was a fighting rooster that someone set loose in the orchard behind our house, and the other one was one that had flown into our yard and was hiding from her owners for three days in our shed.thankfully they had left a note with there number on it.

This is Diva she is coming up on her sixth birthday! She is having a very pretty molt this season. She is pretty outgoing and knows the routine around here, she isn't very tolerant of the younger birds (2 years and under, she can be bossy) she soon will be in a separate flock with one of the two ex fighters I adopted since she is a older gentle lady and prefers his company. She is well behaved and doesn't like getting dirty unless it involves dust bathing which she loves to do with a large group.

This guy is Seth given to me by someone who had too many boys, his father was a white crested black polish and his mom was an American Buff Orpingtons, he has become very curious and friendly since we got him, he waits for everyone else to go inside at night before he does and he is always begging for treats acting like he should get more than anyone else. These photos are from him sunning himself today. My birds are down in a valley next to a natural creek because above the valley on the hill where we live the freeway is close.

This is Mystique not to be confused with other flock members such as Taylor or Gem, she is one of the most adventurous mischievious individuals, she loves finding ways under or over the fence and taking day long journeys in the brush but always ends up back home surprisingly at dinner time, lately since improving our fences she is having a harder time figuring out how to escape, any tips she could get would be helpful, but I advise against it.

Here is Gem but she is more often called Jammys or Jimmy Jam, or even Jimmy Gem Jam Jammy Jim Gem. She is more of an individual she is about three years old or so but prefers hanging out with the older ladies. She's a upper middle class sort of gal, her closest friend is a tiny game bird named Dayanara. They love basking in the sun and taking dust baths in the late afternoon.

This is Majora, she was gotten from an auction for 3$ where other people were going to buy her to eat her but she lives here now with her two friends. She doesn't really like being held but she comes right up to you and likes sitting near you. She is very chatty but isn't as scrappy as Chai or Midna. She is decently clean but doesn't bathe as frequently as Chai. She seems to be a third wheel to them sometimes but maybe looking for a boy might change that and give her a new friend who she might get more attention from. She stole 1/3 of my sandwich today, but that's okay.
