They are adorable!Ok .... joke of a video but hey I'm really tired more ways than one so this is as good as it gets. These lils are super spunky and loud! Lol...and God knows I can't handle more than bout 7 at a time anyways.

@3KillerBs What are the adult colors in your breeding group? What color are your roosters?
I can see having some no Splash hatches. It’s only a 25% chance assuming the blue roo is breeding all the blue hens. However you have a black rooster in there too. Competition between the roosters could definitely reduce that 25% chance.I have a 9-month-old Blue Australorp cockerel, who is getting most of the action, and a Black Langshan rooster (for sale). The majority of my females are Blue Australorps and I made a point for this hatch of collecting only Australorp eggs -- though I *could* have gotten a Cochin egg since hers are the same color brown -- though usually smaller.
And either the Langshan was mating with at least one of the Blue girls (though he normally mates with the Cochin and the Brahma), or I *did* get a Cochin egg or 2 because two of these chicks have feathered feet.
I know I didn't use any of the Orpington x Wyandotte girls' eggs because they're distinctly pink and the Java's eggs are smaller. Of course the Marans and the California White eggs are easy to distinguish.
I'll be happier about my breeding when the Langshan sells. I'm wanting some blue or splash males to select from for the next generation.

With blue/blue it is a 50% blue, 25% black and 25% splash. But I have heard from others that have hatched a lot and didn't get any splash....
The ones I ordered have blue and splash in the pen so think I have at least a 50% chance of splash,. But I only got 3 of those eggs.....
Think she said project babies should be blue or lavender splash ..

SO much FUN! Love it!Ok .... joke of a video but hey I'm really tired more ways than one so this is as good as it gets. These lils are super spunky and loud! Lol...and God knows I can't handle more than bout 7 at a time anyways.
Your huge age mix sounds like mine.I think today at 4 starts day 10 for me. One sellers eggs were all duds. cracked some and they were scrambled.UGH won't use that seller again first batch was duds and 2nd same. I got 2nd for half off but still not worth it.
the other seller I am THRILLED WITH!!!!!!!!!!! out of 12 eggs I have 10 doing great!!!!! Hoping they continue to do great. She will be sending me some more on the 25th (so I can be home when they are due to hatch and after so I don't worry) since my order got mixed up and I didn't get as many of one breed that I should have.
My coop is going to be a HUGE mix of ages. LOL I have some that are a bit over a year, some that are 12 weeks, then 8 weeks (but they are going to a new home this weekend), then 5 that are 3 weeks now, 1 that is 2.5 weeks. Then I have the eggs set to hatch in 11 days (will give them to my broody when they hatch) and will be setting more that will hatch in about 5.5-6 weeks. LOL at least once the last eggs hatch the older chicks will be 18 weeks, the others will be gone, most likely the ones that are 3 weeks now will be gone, then the other will be 8-9 weeks, this hatch will be about 4 weeks. so not horrible by then I guess.
