@FreedomFarm13 my fingers are crossed for your little one as well.

I'm on day 13 and I'm down another egg now. I noticed a smell so I sniffed all of them to find the bad one. I'm glad I caught it in time! That's 3 eggs so far gone out of 21 - one rotten, one early quitter and one empty. I'll be candling and weighing tomorrow and I'm hoping the other 18 are still going strong.

Do any of you weigh your eggs to check if they're on track? I had been calculating my target weights based on 13% loss by hatch on day 21 but I've just read something there that said it should be 13% loss by day 18/19. Any idea which is right?

I used to weigh mine AND mark the air cells AND graph them out on a chart, the whole 9 yards. Found out it didn’t make that much of a difference, so now I just monitor air cells, much easier!

HELP guys
I have one chick ( possibly my last hatch) that's very sticky and weak. He has been hatched for a few hours now and not fluffed up at all.
I'm planning on giving him some molasses water and let him rest in the incubator but how can I wash him ? Wait till he is stronger ?

Broody lost one egg, it was barely barely developed at all. Now everything is covered in yolk Is there anything special I need to do for the other eggs? I’m not totally sure on the viability honestly. It’s hard to candle on my phone, I might bring them inside to the incubator light tonight to check
