July 2022 Hatch-A-Long

HELP guys
I have one chick ( possibly my last hatch) that's very sticky and weak. He has been hatched for a few hours now and not fluffed up at all.
I'm planning on giving him some molasses water and let him rest in the incubator but how can I wash him ? Wait till he is stronger ?
Thank you
I would wash asap so he’s able to regulate his temp, they need to be fluffy. The warm water shouldn’t be too stressful from what I’ve read

I left her in the incubator with two other chicks. I took him out trying to wash her but she is too stressed and almost flip over kicking. I gave him some molasses water to give him some strength.see how it goes tomorrow

This is only my second hatch so I'm sure I'll get better at candling but last time round I found it so hard to go by the air cells so I thought I'd try weighing this time. I just didn't know how to compare my eggs to the pictures you see online. Also, some of them had huge air cells and some had tiny ones and it seems like that might be the case this time around as well. I'll be checking them again tomorrow so we'll see.
I weigh mine for this very reason. Some air cells were saddled and looked HUGE, some looked normal etc. I read 15% at day 21 and 13% at day 18..... I freaked myself out because mine were between 11-18% at day 17 (when I took out the turner) and was so worried about the ones that were 16-18%...... They all hatched fine. In fact one that had 17% loss pipped and hatched all with in 5 hrs time. the one at 11% was the first to hatch. One that was at 12.5% I think took the longest to hatch from pip to hatch. So not sure how much weighing them did besides freak me out. LOL But I will weigh them again next time just to see if the are kind of on "track"

Well, she did it! My scary baby that was stuck in her shell finally made it out. I'm so happy she made it...looks like she's gonna be a pretty dark blue 💙 I'm leaving her and the last hatch before her in the incubator til morning so she can get all fluffed up and get her strength up, but I think she's ok. Her foot looks a little wonky(it was sticking out of the shell for a long time- may have lost some circulation because of this?)but she seems to be getting around pretty well. I'm so glad she made it! That makes 14 hatched out of the 16 that went into lockdown! More than I thought I'd get.
Here's a pic of the new baby, she was exhausted and needed a break after all that hard work, lol:

Thanks, that's brilliant information. It seems there's quite a wide margin for what can be ok.
