So I can't get the newbie to stand but maybe you can see the difference in size anyway. Both of these are male.
I can see the difference. I think your Bieles are 5 or 6 days older than mine...so he's what... 8 days old now. And the smaller new chick is only a day difference?? Wow.

One thing about my bieles is that over all they are very quiet compared to other chicks their age. However, every few hours or so one, or both, boys will hop up on top of the momma heating pad and either one will chirp super loud!
I check and see nothing amiss, just a chick up there screaming. It's almost as if he wants to crow so peeps really loudly in place of a crow. Also have noticed the boys are super watchful when they are awake. They are the first to investigate anything and everything. Like little leaders.

I have noticed the same for mine as well. Freaked me out at first. Why the random screaming and then dead quiet? I thought one of them wanted everyone to know he was alive? Lol It is just one male I have that does this. The one in the picture actually. Isn't it crazy how big a difference there is? I have to ask again how old these guys are.

and Yep 8 days old.

@Trisseh heres my older ones

Some were hiding lol

Haha! Sounds about right! My perfect but jerky boy started chick crowing at 2 weeks old. He chick crowed for weeks until his little voice changed. It's the most crowing our garage has ever heard out of one brooding cockerel. (May or may not be a contributing factor to why we brood in the coop now. lol)

I am fascinated by the size difference. I also have some 8 day old Bielefelders that I hatched from Omega Farms. Yesterday I picked up some babies from Greenfire Farms that hatched on Monday. So the chicks are 5 days apart. I was stunned at how much smaller they were compared to my hatchlings. Is it just down to the fact they are from different lines? It was across the board with all of them, Biele's, Cream Legbars, and Black Copper Marans... they are all much smaller than my hatch. Cute as they can be and everyone is doing great. It's comical because I was concerned about putting them together because of the size difference but when I did... I found that it's actually the Greenfire chicks who do the most pecking at my hatch babies. They look like living golf balls. It does make me feel better to hear this.
