I've got to stop seeing all these cute quail babies!!! (Just kidding). They are so cute. My neighbor just hatched some button quail last week and I can not believe how tiny they are. Surely I could find room for some of those right???:idunno
I love my quail. They’re the best bird I’ve ever had. Such an asset to our farm and just fun to have around.

@FortCluck So far I’m 100% in agreement with you about the quail. Mine are about 2.5 weeks now and so sweet. And entertaining. Lol. Originally I wasn’t going to keep any but now that I have them I think I’ll only be trying to sell the extra boys, once I know who is who. They’re way friendlier than my chicken chicks! :)
Yes! I have 9 week old quail and they’re so friendly. I’ll try to get pics of them sometime soon. I love the colors you can get.

The best colors I’ve gotten were from a local breeder. I hatched their eggs and they were amazing. Falb fee, pansy fee, scarlet, and autumn amber.

That’s right, I remember you saying that you wound up with a bunch of the colors you were looking for without having to order them. Lol. That’s so great when things work out that way; I’m glad you got some awesome variety. Would love to see pics! :D

Mine were similar in that aspect, no super crazy colours but some variety and not just plain old pharaohs. :) my 2 faves right now are the tuxedo that’s got the prettiest dark barring in the colored portion, and a funny little silver looking thing that had striped down (Below!)

I don’t even know half the coloring 😂 I wait until they’re feathered out. The pansy fee is a male and the Falb fee is as well. The rest to my knowledge are females.

I’m making cages soon before august 14th because they need to be done by then. These new ones will be going in the new cages. My old ones will stay right in the aviary.

I haven't hatched Bielefelders before but from checking images on Google I would say all of the chicks in the image are male.

When I hatched Crested Cream Legbars from multiple bloodlines I also found that each bloodline was a little different in how the autosexing traits expressed themselves. Not trying to get your hopes up, but share an image of the chicks you feel are female and the comparison will help.
