June Hatch A Long

Pics
Hi @Ribh , sorry when I tried to update site was down for a bit... then I woke up to this chick.... it just got out of the cup and now I’m afraid the yolk is leaking. Not looking good.
All good. :) I couldn't get on this morning either but I was looking for an update. I mean, something should have happened overnight, right?

Worried his beak is down near the yolk. I can see a fluid near the top of his head where his eye is under the membrane not seeing the beak at all which will make it very hard to get it free.

I hope your baby makes it :(

This has dropped my humidity down to 46% we found a bigger plastic bowl and I’ve put everything in there I am so worried this one won’t make it

Give it some time, I'm not sure there is much else that can be offered. It's not bleeding which is a good sign and the intestines are inside which is a really good thing. :fl

Think of it this way, even if the pip you make through the membrane isn't perfectly placed as long as the chick is getting oxygen it WILL be ok.

I’ve got two that have had large holes since 10am 7 1/2 hours now... the membrane looks a little dried up. Do you think I should assist some? Or leave them?

@Kris5902 its just my opinion but I always go by progression. Is that the same(ish) size hole that was there st pip? Or did it pip and start to zip barely and stopped? That’s where after hours I would intervene. Zipping shouldn’t take that long. But judging by the fact one of yours is still absorbing yolk I would hold off.
