If you keep them all you cant hatch more. That’s what I tell myself and then I’m ready to wave bye bye.View attachment 1803870 View attachment 1803871 Oh wow, I wasn’t getting notifications and finally got caught up. Exciting times! I stole one egg to candle from under my broody to candle. When I tap the shell with my fingernail it moves! I am so excited and in love. I don’t know how I’m going to be able to give away all my hatchlings. I’ve never hatched before and I’m growing attached. About 11 days to go...
Oh woooooow I thought that was a leg.The upper right chick the one that had it's beak below it's leg. It's beak was huge. It took me a minute to realize that's what it was.

I absolutely can’t give up a chick that imprints on me. This hobby is going to make me need to move.![]()

They’re fine still they are still breathing when they get down a bit from the shell they’re just resting.Thank you all...I now have another unzipping. So if they have pipped but haven’t started to unzip and an active hatched chick rolls the pip down to the incubator floor, should I turn it back over when I scoop the fluffball? What’s the general feeling on that? I had a half zipped chick I left to sleep that was rolled and died in my last hatch.
I’ve got plenty of chirps happening from those two holes, considering a break for dinner. I’m a little worried about the one egg it almost looks like the inner membrane is shrunk to it and the beak is now nowhere near the hole. Maybe 1/8” down from the shell? Initially the beak was out of the hole...
