June Hatch a Long

Hi all!! Need a little advice. I had two eggs in the bator that I took from under a broody to put some other eggs under her that were about a week ahead of these two. One of them hatched on Sunday night, the other was rockin' pretty well all day yesterday but now is pretty quiet. I am assuming that this is day 23 based on when I THINK the broody started sitting on them. No internal pip, no chirp, but still a little movement.

Should I go ahead and do a pip and try to see what going on or leave it another day? I have lost several in this hatch period because I think I moved too quickly and air dried them. This is my first hatch. I have read the Hatch Assist article several times but I am still kind of unclear as to when to make a move. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

ME and only ME, I would pip and see if there is any movement. But that is just me.

Thanks!! The egg is still rocking a bit so I am pretty sure it's still alive. I am moving the one that hatched into a brooder(I think it's too late to put her with the broody since the one she has with her is 9 days old) an after she settles in I will try pipping the other.

just locked my bator down for a clutch due on the 21st this is my first time doing it dry, its been sooo rainy lately and ive had issues with 2 "water chicks" in the past one lived the other was sooo big it even filled up the air side, it was the last to go and i went to pip it on the fat end and there was chick right there! so i went to the other side and same thing, puzzled, i opened it enough to poke it and see if it would move, nothing, so i finished unwrapping it and found a chick easily the size of a week old or more, poor thing simply ran out of room to grow...

Anyway all but one of the 39 seems to have made it this far! the one that didnt make it is a real disappointment, really wanted that one :/ odd thing is it pipped just below the air sack, and appears to have drown perhaps, but what is odder is that its crop was full of air... but a handsome fully formed baby :/ dang but heres to the next 38! mine tend to hatch out on day 19 so half or more should be pipped by tonight, out by tomorrow afternoon :)

How Did it go with your hatch.. how do the babies look??? I love serama I have 3 one roo and 2 girls can't wait for them to start having babies
I just set 25 Serama eggs out of 4 different pens (4 roos, 5 pullets) for a June 8th hatch date. I am pretty excited since most of these are out of pairs and a trio I've never set eggs from before. Can't wait to see what I get, since Seramas can throw a rainbow of babies in one clutch of eggs :D Go BABIES go!!
