I read that too and was planning on doing that as well as marking the air cells with a pencil but now I’m feeling kinda lazy and might not. :lau

I did weigh them before I set them though so I could do it and still might. Don’t know yet.
I think you should. At least that way it will give you an idea if you do another hatch if you document it as well as the egg cell. What day did you set yours?

I think around day 5 and on

Thanks!! I might wait till then then. Idk yet.

My first hatch I got crazy and candled almost everyday

:lau that’s what @Texas Kiki does!! She candles every day.

I’m trying to control myself :lau

Thanks, that’s a good point. I think I might. How often do you think I should weigh them?

And I set them Friday around 4pm so it’s almost day 3 now.

They provide a formula and examples in the Beginner Guide. They give for a daily weight example or weighing every six days until day 18.
So if yo shoot for 12% humidity loss and the egg weight 100 grams then yo should lose 12 grams by day 18. Every six days should lose 4 grams each time or .67 daily. My humidity fluctuates so much here I think I am going to try that as well so if not losing enough weight I can increase humidity some and if not enough I can decrease humidity some. I guess it depends on how much time you have on your hands as to how often you weigh them LOL. I only have 6 so should not take me no time, lol! Remember this is a first for me as well. ;)

Day 3, I think I would have to candle just to see, LOL! I'm inpatient also and while 21 days is not long it's long for us chicken parents!

Thank you!! This is very helpful!! I think I might try this! :)

And I’ve got plenty of time and only 13 eggs so I could probably try daily but I’m trying to be good and not handle them a ton :lau :hit

And we can learn together! :D
