It's definitely a roller coaster ride the first time you do it, but I've actually relaxed on my second hatch. I'm more calm this time.

Maybe it's because I already have 21 little Gremlins and I'm not sure I want to add more Just kidding.

I'm seriously wondering how those brahma mixed chicks are fitting in these tiny eggs. They're so small!

I'm not sure what your incubator bottom looks like but if it's anything like mine, add some shelf liner into it! Kiki told me to do it and I'm sure it'll work. It also stops the eggs from rolling If I accidentally hit the table.

Mine is like a hard plastic mesh. I figured it was small enough for them not to get stuck but maybe not??

That's what mine is too but they have a really hard time walking on it! I had to put a towel in my incubator last time because they were getting their little toe stuck. Plus they had no grip.

I thought that my chicks had leg issues until I realized that it was just the mesh on the bottom.

I also bought some Pedialyte for them as well and I'm glad I did because of that chick that didn't hatch, but when I did the egg-topsy it was still alive 48 hours after hatch day.

Wow! Well goo thing you did the egg-topsy and it was still alive. Just couldn't pip though? I was iffy on doing the egg-tospy. Thought I may have an emotional breakdown, LOL!

It looks dead in this picture, but it isn't. It's running around like a loony outside right now!

I like doing egg-topsies because it helps me know what happened and why the chick could not come out. I think that this chick was unable to get out because it couldn't pip through the small air cell. This hatch I don't have small air cells!

So don't give up on your eggs until you know for sure. I thought they were all dead.

It's the white one I want to keep!
