That time that you -- WHAT!?
She was laying weird eggs, I needed to confirm it was her (With 12 BRs, And up to 8 light brown eggs a day, it’s a bit hard to tell who laid what egg  ) so when she laid an egg it had blue on it

if you’re wondering, yes it was her who laid the messed up eggs (later I found out it was genetic and sadly she died from it this summer)

That’s a blue egg?
It’s 100% dark outside, the lights give of a yellow hue which ruined the color in the photo. In real life, it has more tint. (But I haven’t decided if I’m going to call this a blue egg or a green egg yet lol)

Any of y'all have any experience processing chickens?
i hadn’t read further yet....so sorry for your first experience upset....we also use cone and have experienced similar situations of flopping. i now hold the neck while mr muddy makes the cuts and then we put in the cone (sometimes still holding feet) while they expire. the only birds we use cone for from start to finish is turkeys which are much easier because don’t have same feathering on the neck that makes the cuts more difficult

Call it green or olive....

mr muddy and i worked on the leaves in the backyard and then he started dinner and we processed and packaged a hindquarter and the backstraps from my doe. we also marinated 3.5# jerky meat to go into the smoker tomorrow
