She’s a red Ranger meatie... on a 19% Broiler ration. I was thinking we would process at 12-16 weeks but this is my first time with meat birds, so I’m not really sure

Also I plan on holding some females back to cross to a heritage boy... I’m looking to get a larger but sustainable meat bird

Edit: clicked post too soon by mistake I’m wanting to keep as many females as I can... this will be the second girl I lose if she passes. She’s not looking as well now, but did manage to get up and perch on the tub lip

Well, at that age and no blood in poop I don't think it would be cocci. How much does she weigh?

Here's a table to help you estimate when to process. I like my meaties to dress a little over 6 pounds. That gives me a solid pound of boneless skinless breast, 6 tenders will come in at a pound and leg quarters over a pound. Of course, I make and can stock from the bones, skin and feet. I freeze the giblets and eat them as well.

Well, we are having ups and downs. She was doing much better, got out of the drawer on her own and was walking around my dining room pooping, I figured I’d put her out next to the others in the “bad rooster box” for a bit. Halfway there she panicked and tried to flap free. She was drooling/ dribbling a bunch of clear liquid from her beak. I’m thinking it was all the water she drank. Now we are back to square one. I’m going to need more poop towels. No brewers yeast unfortunately... I would guess she’s about 3-4 lbs... maybe 5
