I was also thinking a selenium deficiency maybe, but the feed does have it added, and only the one is doing poorly :hmm we are in a highly selenium deficient area... the sheep need supplements, which we couldn’t get this year, or wormer, or the standard vaccinations. Stupid changes to veterinary medicine regulations, it seems like they are designed to drive small family farms out of business! :rantI do understand wanting to prevent resistances due to unnecessary prophylactic medication of animals. But when there are NO large animal vets or vets that will handle livestock animals of even the “pet goat” variety in the area what are the farmers supposed to do? Vet won’t travel for a full day (or two, for return!) to make a farm visit and we can’t drive every sick animal for a full day up to his office, when appointments need to be booked in advance.:rant:he:rant

Her crop is empty, breath seems fine smell wise, but she’s gasping... I’m hoping all the water that came out when she was trying to get loose on the way to the pen didn’t get inhaled... she was looking much better, and then just went back to barely hanging on in the space of a few minutes...

Sorry Kris we've exhausted what little I know.

She passed while I was out... but thank you for the help @rjohns39 i really appreciate that you took the time to help me with this, it’s sad, but not unexpected, though I did have some hope early in the morning for her.
