more things to break so dealers can make the profit at the service department.I like older vehicles too. I don't like the newer ones that have all the electrical bell's and whistles in them. They confuse me.

With you 100% on that, the only new version of the late 60’s and 70’s muscle cars I don’t despise is the challenger and charger remakes. They managed to keep the classic lines and spirit of the car... the camaroHubs had this... I like it but much rather the Camaro... but hey, I’ll take it if it’s all I can get... hubs is trying to get a new Camaro.. I say NO to that.. I do not care for the new ones... Yes... and I agree with you 100% about the challenger and charger too! With you 100% on that, the only new version of the late 60’s and 70’s muscle cars I don’t despise is the challenger and charger remakes. Can’t agree with you completely on this. Sorry. Power windows and heated seats are a must. I also appreciate the tire pressure monitor, if the hissing noise from the tire doesn’t alert me at a gate to the (yet another) nail in it, that little flashing light and ding lets me know I need to find solid and relatively flat and level ground ASAP to change it (again). As to all the other gadgets... meh, though my dad has managed to figure out syncing his phone to his truck, and with a full box, canopy and crew cab, I tremble to think of him in a parking lot without the backup camera on it! He even managed to update his computer all on his own last year!
Gosh, I got so far behind.
Yayyy to the pour!!Any more house news?
And sorry to hear about Mr Eyebrowshow is he today?
And that’s usually my line...so much catch up reading!!!
Mr Eyebrows is doing better, and has been moved out to the barn having crowed excessively yesterday, which traumatized Bullet (his buddy who was sitting with him in front of the heater) so much she refused to leave our bed for breakfast even! I’m still at a bit of a loss on where to put him. Back in with the tail plucking ladies, or maybe I should switch Sammy in there?
As to house news, it’s a long weekend here in Canada, our Thanksgiving comes a little earlier than the American one, so we won’t bother the cement guy again until Tuesday at the earliest. FIL had a temper tantrum Friday about if it doesn’t get poured before he leaves for his Cuba vacation on the 23rd that he will stop the build. That was brought on by me. Andrew had literally just finished texting the concrete contractor again (as we are racing the weather) minutes before FIL burst in to yell at him about it. Apparently “he just texted him again not five minutes ago” isn’t a correct response to “you have to talk to him about the concrete”. And I should just keep my dumb female self out of this.
He’s the only contractor with concrete trucks on island, and usually needs about 2 weeks lead time for projects, as there are other customers, and he has to ferry in the materials.I’ve decided that I’m not going to let FIL’s attitude and threats bother me. Maybe if he quits “helping”, we can just pretend he’s doing the build and finish it ourselves (DH and FIL both have the same legal first and surname) I think at this point even the Building inspection office would be ok with that... we texted him initially on the 2nd of October, and then spoke in person on the 3rd about it.
I feel for you! There is no way that I would be able to bite my tongue and hold my temper on your FIL.
