We stuck to the budget, got everything we needed, and did 6 loads of laundry! And home by 5pm! on the concrete...experiencing torrential rains tonight and it’s scheduled for Monday

Mr Eyebrows is doing ok, everyone went to roost properly tonight,which was a blessing after a long day in town. My “spared” Barnie is coming home tomorrow, AKA: “please don’t kill/eat the pure bred 1 YO rooster!” And “ where the heck am I going to put another rooster?!?” I’ll give you a couple meat cockerels or POL pullets next spring to replace him if you’re not happy. But two is one and one is none idea... I’d rather have a backup Rooster!

Not a clue on either, FIL usually leaves for two or three weeks. And yes he tends to come back far less cranky. Even if last time he did forget his email password, got locked out, and delayed our build by several more months because he couldn’t get the code to book the test. Sheesh... old folks and technology! I’m just kiddjng y’all! About the older people part, not the losing the email access (he also thinks windows is really a computer virus, refuses to update any software, and other fun stuff)

I put Mr Eyebrows back in with the girls, and yesterday seemed to go ok. I was closely supervising and there was no plucking, I’m now wondering if he got overzealous in preening during his molt and accidentally drew blood on himself? Then the ladies decided to move in for a bite? He’s definitely somewhat cowed and not as rambunctious as usual but seems to be ok. A little of the darkness returned to his comb, and last night he roosted in with the four younger girls. The top roost has been claimed by the Sapphires and Two Isbars I moved from Mr Marans Pen. I also wonder if Chickie Hawks Daughters will eventually figure out how much bigger they are and assert themselves? Fingers crossed everything goes well today, as Andrew and I are headed into Town for Groceries, Laundry, more Craft Supplies and Feed. I love him, but man does he suck at shopping for essentials!

Yay craft supplies! Creating stuff soothes the soul. My youngest has requested a curly witches hat for their birthday/Halloween. I've never felted one like it before so I'm making samples first and it's fun!
What will you be making Kris? More friendship bracelets?

It does look a little large for a chicken, but might fit a kitty! And yes, totally adorable!

I was in looking for more inexpensive embroidery threads (yes for more bracelets!), craft felt to line my little tin drink can boxes, and something to make a jewelry type spinner to display them on. We had a nice discussion on using vertical space to draw interest at the market, and how we didn’t really have anything to do that with. The killer really wants a spinner, so I’ve got a dollar store lazy Susan to adapt

Thanks! I’ve got a bunch of stuff in our storage locker too, I used to do Cross Stitching, and scrapbooking, but packed it all away for “once the house is built”. The size constraints of the 25’ RV is quite the deterrent to having those sorts of things around. I never stopped to consider how I could turn it into a profit.

Kris, one of the many things on my list of must haves after a tractor is a saw mill. The one I've chosen is made in Canada. With the trees I have here and my wood shop (after the pigs are processed) there are a ton of things I could make and sell. Working full time and trying to keep the farm alive is just about all I can handle. I keep telling myself that if I can just make it to the age to draw social security I can re-direct.
