Love the hair! I got mine cut off short a few weeks ago and can't wait to grow the rest of the colour out and then grow long grey hair like my nana used to have. And today we have rain... buckets and buckets of rain. It started last night as light showers, eased up some then this morning it came back with a vengeance. The chickens are not pleased. The coop building and third Meat tractors have been put on hold. I am just as “happy” about this weather as my chickens are, but at least my garden bed is getting watered on the neighbor’s property. With the weather, I am actually quite glad that I didn’t get my meat Tractor finished yesterday, because it would be an awful time to put chickens outside for their first night! I just have to think that it’s good for the grass!
One con to shaving your head... it’s chilly at first, the other big concern is sunburning it. I only went down to a 3 on the clippers so I wouldn’t need to worry about the latter, but this weather had me scrambling for a toque (beanie in American, and I don’t know what they are called in Aussie speak.) before heading out for the chicken chores! So yes, I did it... And I’m very happy with the results.

As you can see, Yesterday sunburning was a concern! Funniest thing is, it upset the Chickens terribly... clearly they are much more visual in identifying people than cows or cats and dogs. And it took me a while to realize that they were alarming at me!They seem to have settled into an acceptance of this change today!
Beanie is the Australian too
