Laying eggs outside

They seem to have stopped laying outside.. I left the eggs that were laid by the other hens in the nesting boxes for a while and I haven’t seen anymore eggs outside! Will come back for help if it discontinues.

Good!
Better to leave some fake eggs in the nests than real ones.
I keep one in each nest full time, helps 'spread the love'.

Yeah, I know, I had one fake egg in each, I think seeing a bunch of them in there really ingrained it into their mind. Lol

You can wash the eggs, no reason to be losing them unless they are being broken.

They have always laid outside..

Did they used to lay in the nest boxes and then stopped or have they never laid in there?
