This my number one top roo. His name is Mel, shortened from Mellie after I realized he was a rooster.
The day I got him I bought 15 pullets from a guy off MeWe. Obviously one was not a pullet.
There was a terrible thunderstorm that day and while gathering my new flock members to shelter I noticed one that was squatting with wings away from the body, tail dropping down and seemed to be very uncomfortable. I felt the crop and , boy, was it solid.
I looked it up and treated for impacted crop. A day later everything was normal. A couple of months later that bird started transforming into this magnificent creature.
He is indeed magnificent!

We love our two little cockerels so much. They are winter babies and still indoors a lot as it is a very wet winter at my end of the world.

This is Fox who is a Golden Duckwing OEGB. He is 13 weeks old and has only recently crowed and it was only the once - when our son was having a huge meltdown. 🤣

Our second boy is almost 5 weeks old. He is a large breed developed by a lady in New Zealand. The boys are not aggressive and our Bikkie is a cuddly, clumsy boy. They both love to sit on my knee for a snuggle and a pat.

Cuddling with his sister, Ffion.

Here’s my roos. Rosester we believe is a Japanese bantam. We got him out of a mixed bantam bin at the feed store. Benny is a blue ameraucana that we got this year.
We live in the country and have about an acre and a half to free range, so crowing isn’t as issue(except for when Benny does is right next to my ear, that boy is loud) and everyone gets along well.

Is it bad that I had to physically count on my fingers how many roosters I own? I'm going to assume it's bad.

3 Bielefelder cockerels. Baron, Ludwig, and Loki. None have turned out to be jerks yet, so they are safe from freezer camp as of now.

5 D'uccle cockerels. 3 "silver", 2 Mille Fluer.
Silvers are: Ice Man, Maverick, and Goose. Mille Fleurs are Smalls and Turtle.

1 Black Frizzle Bantam Cochin. Kramer, my adorable little rooster. All advances on the ladies are promptly shut down by Solomon.

1 Silver Duckwing (?) EE (Ameraucana?) Rooster. Solomon. Love him. He's such a gentleman and tidbits the girls.

I've had a few more, but these are my current ones. I'll get pics later.

(And yes, I have a bachelor flock)

we currently have 17 roo's i have 7bantam roo's and 1massive roo that i don't know what he is in my main coop they have all grown up together and get along great and I have a batchler coop that has 9residents so far it is for rescued roo's for those that live within 3hrs drive of me for people that can't or won't keep roo's i will drive and pick them up and give them a great home and spoil them until they leave this world naturally I will have to take pics of the rest tomorrow some i just got so they are still in lock down so they know this is home and they are not totally freaked out by my dogs and cats (they won't hurt them but I don't want the roos to hurt my dogs and cats)
thank you for rescuing all these babies! eventually in the future, i want to have a rooster/drake rescue (since most males are unwanted and will be sadly used as meat). i don’t care about the eggs and definitely don’t want to eat my animals, so i think having just boys would make great pets
