Our Cochin rooster has been slow and lethargic for at least 2 weeks now. He just sits around with his eyes closed all of the time. He is barely eating or drinking anything and I am surprised he is still alive on what little he appears to have eaten.
He is thin and weighs nothing but his feathers are so beautiful, clean & shiny you can't tell to look at him.
Approx. 2 weeks ago we noticed he was not up and moving around and he was not walking away when we came up to pet him. We moved him into the sick house, wormed him and hoped for the best. He has fresh food and water but does not appear to be eating. I set him in the chicken yard yesterday to see if he was maybe depressed and lonely for his ladies but he never moved until one of the other roosters came after him. He does have company in the sick house, one of our old roosters and a couple hens with their chicks.

What could possibly be the problem? Thanks for any input you can give me
