Succulents really are easy to keep alive. House plants need constant attention and good grief, should you forget to water them for a couple of days, bam, they croak! Succulents and cacti are designed to retain water in their leaves during times of drought and are quite resilient with neglect. You can grow them inside too if you have a sunny east, south or west window. Some of my big cactus get watered once a month, my smaller plants every 10 to 14 days. So a stony loose soil, a little bit of sun in the morning, bright afternoon light coming in the window and they grow easily! They are VERY addictive, I think its their cuteness. 😁

Truest words could not have been said! Succulents are pretty much the perfect plant, so easy to care for!

Don't believe me :D ? Throw a piece of the devil (aka opuntia) out in your yard, don't bother planting it, just throw it. In a year you'll have a thriving opuntia

Indoor Opuntia (remember I purchased this "bunny ears" about 2 months ago. Around day 4, the pads started falling off and the base was rotten. I hadn't even watered it yet.) So I saved 2 leaves and tried to propagate! One pad took and now she has a baby on top! 😍 (this pad had a bit of Rust on the lower left, I dug it out of there and it seems to be ok)

Okay, I'll give it to you.

You're a true opuntia lover! I don't know how you handle them, but I respect it

Tongs work really well on pads and small furry cactus, the larger cactus like barrel cactus I use heavy duty materials like leather or tarpaulin, if I double it, spines can't get through.
