Succulents really are easy to keep alive. House plants need constant attention and good grief, should you forget to water them for a couple of days, bam, they croak! Succulents and cacti are designed to retain water in their leaves during times of drought and are quite resilient with neglect. You can grow them inside too if you have a sunny east, south or west window. Some of my big cactus get watered once a month, my smaller plants every 10 to 14 days. So a stony loose soil, a little bit of sun in the morning, bright afternoon light coming in the window and they grow easily! They are VERY addictive, I think its their cuteness.![]()
