That’s great but as of December of this year we have a pesticide ban , meaning we aren’t able to buy the items we’ve used here TIL now .
My poultry dusting powders manufacture stopped making that product this summer .
Here in Canada we are apparently trying to save the world , and having to go to my vet that doesn’t know the difference between a Cornish and a crow is going to be very frustrating :/

Check in pet shops that carry supplies for pigeons or pet birds, likely they do carry some type of louse powder or miticide. Most bans cover products commonly used in animals for food (meat/eggs) but "pet products" might still be available. You may even find a permethrin based spray or dust for use in dogs that would work, you just want to research the other ingredients.
I've always been amazed that some things are banned for use on animals, but it's o.k. for us to sprinkle it on our beans, tomatoes, etc. to control garden pests.
Have to give this some more thought. I *think* it could posssibly work to continue with the DE... but I'd really like something more efficient.
