Lighter-than-air pan rolls

I went to the store today and decided, instead of buying a loaf of bread for sandwiches, that I would try making these rolls this weekend. Wish me luck!

Ok I tried making these and I know I did something wrong, I just don't know what (it's my first time making non-pillsbury rolls

)

The flavor was AWESOME, but they came out dense and doughy. Any advise on what may of happened, because I really want to give these another go (I just need help

) Should I have cooked them longer, or would that not have made them doughy?

I made two pans of rolls and one loaf of bread this afternoon

I took a pan and some homemade strawberry jam to my neighbors, they think I am awesome thanks to you and to Miss Prissy and GumpsGirl.

And the many others I have learned from on this site. Yummy

I made sure I let them rise long and they came out wonderfully.

Ozark Hen, what a good neighbor you are - wish I lived next door to you. Homemade rolls and strawberry jam - what a wonderful surprise. I'm the one sharing our homemade goodies with others, but it sure would be nice to have a friend drop by with gifts such as yours.

I copied this recipe quite awhile ago. I just need to try it. Maybe today.
