Husband made this this weekend out of pallets and plywood. Have an unplanned broody we are moving in there tonight!

What do you all think?

The plastic is in case it rains till he can finish the roof with shingles

Looks pretty good. I have concerns with the run being chicken wire, and nothing to prevent a predator from digging underneath the fence.

Do you have anything to reinforce the first 12-18" of the wire, and perhaps some leftover fencing to place on the ground as an apron?

The pen is in the main run which is not covered. My flock has about 4k square feet of my yard to free range in. They used to have the whole property but i got tired of my bushes getting dug up. They all get locked in the big coop at night. ( thats the red building there)The fencing is mainly to keep her in and other hens out.

I think we have the mini coop fortified enough that nothings getting in there.
The ventilation near the roof is 1/4 inch hardware cloth.

I would.
Was she tight on the nest this morning?
So she was out for a bit this AM. Maybe an hour. When she went back in husband shut the door. I went out there when i got home and when i opened the hatch on the top and went to touvh her she trilled at me and fluffed up and flared her tail. Thats a good sign right? Does that mean shes still broody? I told him id open her door when inget home tomorrow afternoon. That gives her all afternoon and night an then morning in the little coop.
