Look who decided to visit the quail today.

I was out cleaning the quail pen today and saw a shadow fly over the pen. All the birds went nuts than froze as still as a statue. I went out to see what had scared everybody so badly and saw this guy sitting on a limb hanging just over the quail pen. I am so glad that I never go out to the quail pen without my camera. He was only about five feet from me and never even blinked while I was taking his picture. He must have hung out with us for a good 10 minutes before he got board with us.

Red Shouldered Hawk

It's a red shouldered. no red tail and a colored breast and red wing patches. A young redtail would have a speckled breast and no red anywhere.
