Regarding the recent detection, the owner of the store admitted having brahma chickens in the store for sale and removed them before the CDFA came. WTFreak! That is how they found vND in the store! How are people still getting chicks/chickens???

Ok correction, they were bantam not brahma chickens. The owner got them from Compton that were brought in from Mexico. I am not sure of the removal but it could be removed because the person sold them or removed because the chickens were infected so they got rid of them or they knew they were getting checked. They weren't clear about that.

From what I recall ( I tried finding the original place I read this but can't find it right now) the CDFA tested the area and it came back positive - remember dander can still care the disease so even if there weren't chickens there at the time the dander is and is active - this is why vND is so scary and easy to spread.

It's obvious people are still bringing in chickens by this information. Sorry I become a little obsessed about this issue because I was so sure it was going to end now and it's starting all over!

Or, maybe the chickens weren't there because they died.... and the people didn't clean up very well. Back to square one, this is like the "never ending story" and not in a good way.
