That middle one should definitely be cut since it's crooked. Mine are fine in the summer when they walk around a lot, but sometimes they get long in winter.
Here's a good guide: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/trimming-your-chickens-nails-tutorial.64401/
It's best to be two if you can, one to hold and one to cut. It's better to take too little and do it several times, than to take too much and cause bleeding. I use dog clippers, their nails are pretty sturdy.

x2 :thumbsup

Really excited about my new batch of ducklings! 2 white, 3 silver, 5 barred, 2 with dark caps and back and 2 dark and yellow. Can't wait to see what they'll look like as adults.

I like this pic, looks like a ring leader and his gang. And that silly one in the background. :lau

Never had one with just a dark cap and back. Magpie maybe?

Those are sooo cute!!! :love Some of those ducklings look like they will end up being Magpies.

I have been very busy so I haven't been able to post about it, but on Tuesday, June 16th, 2 of my broody Muscovy hens hatched 23 adorable ducklings! I'll have to get pics of them one of these days if I get a chance.

Another one of my broody hens that already hatched a clutch year is broody again, too! I think she has somewhere around 16 or 17 eggs if I remember right.
I keep telling her that she should start sitting on the eggs full time and stop laying more, because I know she can only cover so many, (as if ducks understand English)! :gig
I kinda think she started sitting full time today, so we'll see. Hopefully she is!

Happy duck raising and hatching to all of you!
Have a blessed weekend! :)

I just got some of my future Muscovy breeding stock for 2020 picked out today, so I am super eggcited!!! :clap:ya
I saved back 4 drakelets and 8 ducklets.

My most recent hatch of Muscovy ducklings had one duckling in it that really stuck out. I've never hatched any Muscovies this color before. I'm really looking forward to seeing what color it will turn out. It's almost like a lighter version of blue fawn. Anyone happen to know what color it might be?

Here are some pics of it.

Here is a pic of it next to a blue fawn duckling. The blue fawn duckling is on the left.
