Here's a picture of my "other man" the best horse PEST he was high point in the nation with me in 3 events and taught me how to rope. I was the first to ride his great grandma his family has been with mine for a long time (40 years)

Ok, I just made lemonade out of lemons! The power failure discussion helped me realize the ONE upside to having this 40 foot monstrosity parked next to my house! If we lose power we can fire up the generator and have electricity for days and days! Enough to run the incubators and brooders. Ok, I'll stop complaining about how awful it looks. We're country people now, right?

Happy Turkey day everyone!!!!

Wish mine was going better. I think I have my first 0% hatch.

I have bantam cochin eggs in the bator that were due to hatch today and not a single pip. There are a few of my mutt eggs in there as well and normally I can't do anything to kill those off. I normally have something hatching early by at least a day. Day 21 started today at 3:30 so I guess there is still a chance but it just seems like a dismal failure to me.

Don't give up yet, give it a couple more days... and once you figure out why, make sure that doesn't happen for your New Years Hatch!

I still hide all my "junk" even though the drive way has a line of trailers, compost piles, dirt piles, gravel piles, tractor implements and so forth lining it.... At least the salvage scrap metal and misc. is behind the buildings...

To be true country though you need to keep every car/truck you ever drove out front as it rusts into the ground..

I wont give up until I have to. I moved the incubator to a new spot right before I started this. I swear if they don't hatch I don't care how much work it is I am moving everything back the way it was so my incubator is back in its spot. My last hatch had 7 out of 8 shipped eggs hatch and the only thing that has changed is incubator location. The temps seem to be the same as does the humidity the only thing that I can think of is that sometime between 2am and 8:30 am the thing is going haywire.

When I do give up you can bet I will candle before opening and I will definitely be opening.
