Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Yep, that's why I'm getting antsy, Cheryl-my girls aren't laying and seems like a lot of other people's girls have stopped so I don't even know if I'll be able to buy eggs for the hatch and have them here for the 10th(one day to rest).

Can't order them now because I'm afraid they'll be too old to get a decent hatch.

Can things get any better? Something got into our chicken pen and got into the coop...it killed all 6 hens and the new roo we got from Dacjohns last week...killed them and tore them to pieces and left them. In all the years we have had chickens, I have had the occasional loss of a young chick at night by an owl, but nothing that killed and ripped everything I owned apart then just left the pieces. I am just bawling and feel so devastated.

If anyone has some reasonably priced/cheap Brahma or Wyandotte eggs, please let me know? I would be most appreciate. The reason I list those 2 breeds is because they lay decent and in my cold winters they don't seem to have comb freeze or issues with frozen feet. Thank you.

This thread is moving so fast I can hardly keep up. I think my girls at work would have a royal fit if I ever tracked in something from to coop to work!

early morning mishaps occur. I wore a brown shoe and a black shoe to work one day, it was April 1st. folks thought I had done it on purpose!
