Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

We are expecting 17 inches of snow, and I'm really worried about a power outage this week. My babies have made it this far, and i'm so excited about a hatch. It would be a real shame to loose them at the end. So, I get to sit here and worry about the power. Well, not really sit. My kids had a 3 day weekend, and they have already canceled school for tomorrow, so they are bouncing off the walls. The most repeated phrase all weekend," stay away from the eggs", "move away from the eggs", "don't go near the eggs"! Forget the power, they may not survive the kids! And I put them where I thought the kids were not likely to be near...

I forgot all about chick starter.

Now I'm worrying about the the power going off I'll have to call around and see who has power if ours goes out. If the wind blows to hard our power goes out. So far we have no snow. I don't understand it, my boss who lives about 2 hours south is getting snow and my uncle who lives 20 miles north of us is getting it. It's all around us

Starymoon- Well shoot. After all the hard work. What kind of incubator do you have?

Murano- Nice rooster! Is he show quality?

BWQL- Woot! Or is that bad?

how many eggs you set.

Here is my entry for the crowing rooster contest!

The rooster is 'little man' and is so friendly and tame! I don't really believe in holding chickens, but he is irresistible! He crows well for a 10-week old!

He crowed at me RIGHT as this picture was taken!

Idealistic, cute lil roo you have there!! Also loving your bottle collection. I have an unofficial collection started. Have some old canning jars, milk bottles, an old glass baby bottle, etc..
