I have a Brinsea Octagon Advance with the humidity pump. Temps have been stable (99.6), humidity has been stable (40% before lockdown and 60% after lockdown) . Just have no idea what could be wrong. My only guess is that the temperature might be running low but reading higher. I am going to order the spotcheck before I try this again. DH has even stated that he will be bummed if nothing results from this first attempt and that we will have to try again. I do want to thank everyone for their encouragement and advice through all of this. What a great bunch of folks!
I've got the Eco and a stupid flukers thermometer/hygrometer. That thing is way off. When I started hatching it said my humidity was at 50% but my chicks came out perfect. Today it was reading 60% so I didn't put any water in. Now I know why my chicks are nasty sticky with shell fragments stuck to them! I just added some more water so hopefully that will undo some of the damage to the current SLOW pips I have by listening to the stupid Flukers.
