Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Ok my guess is 3736

The first guess is finally in!!!

I know there are others who had sad endings and ended up with no chicks. I need a guess out of you before midnight so I can determine who gets the gift certificates for eggs from Bargain and from me.

You know you want to incubate! Here's a great opportunity for glorious eggs!! Bargain's birds are just stunning!

(If you know of someone who ought to qualify, you might just send them a pm to enter their guess...)

I finally got a 'cute chick' pic!

I tried to get a picture of the guinea too, but every time I set him on a slick surface, his legs splay out again. Poor little guy, I've splinted them 3 times and they just wont stay together!

Same here... I couldn't get a photo for making sure they didn't bounce of the table.. And once they decided to huddle and get still, it all happened so fast I was still laughing and missed it....

I finally moved the peepers outside. Maybe now I can sleep?

Ha! probably not. I will spend all night worrying the breaker will blow and they wont have heat. I ALMOST gave the chicks to my perma-broody Dozer. Now I am thinking I should have. Maybe she'd still adopt them?

Sadly, I now qualify, as our baby died over night. I thought, several times, she'd die yesterday. I'd pick her up and she'd still be breathing. I was shocked last night when I finally got the kids down and had to run downstairs I heard her peeping. I didn't think she had the strength! She must have wondered what happened to all the commotion.

I'll guess 1836. Thanks for doing this CC!!
