hey Kim....finally back from work and had dinner...feels good to have another day done.

I'm not sure what to tell you on that boy....who did you say this boy was out of? and where did that Splash boy you thought might be a birchen a while back come from? I am indecisive about him....but it does make me curious if you had any other of his siblings...more specifically cockerels any time this season? How did their hackle color come in if you did?
Think I could come up with any more questions?

Still working on this one... She hasn't given me any the last two days.
Which is FUNNY because now my other BCM's are laying real good and she is taking a vacation.

Since Don said he believed she is "getting" white ear lobes.. .. is it possible for the ear lobe color to change and then return to the normal red.

For example, could stressers such as molting and broodiness temporarily affect ear lobe color?

I saw the pic of Elwood.... Couldn't count the points.... BUT man that blue hen in the front does have the "stupidest" comb I have ever seen.

I understand now WHY you are trying so hard to get rid of the "stupid" comb genes!

That isn't a carnation com, or a split comb, or a twist, - - What is it? ? ? The SOP folks may have to take a pic of that comb and give it a name LOL

Lotsapaints..... is this a worldwide "hen house" that you are referring to?
You know the east coast and west coast type?

I have NEVER had a bird make SO MUCH NOISE. ALL DAY LONG. But, if you don't believe me, I can just ship him to you....
I am dreaming about Oct. 22. That is the day I can find out if he is worth all the noise, or if he goes into the sale cage at the show.
And c'mon, I KNOW how you boys like to discuss the size of your tools. Just trying to fit in, with my, er, big one, too:p

NO MORE ROOSTERS allowed on my property. Remember, I am the lady who squirts them with the water hose for crowing. My boys go nuts when they see me pick up the water hose. They silently start pacing back and forth at the back side of their pens. I have one roo who starts shaking his head and another who starts high stepping Just Thinking about the WATER SPRAY if they open their crowing mouths one more time!

So, I can relate. I did rehome one who crowed all the time and did not fear the water hose..... FUNNY, the neighbors and my husband are not bothered by the crowing BUT it drives me NUTS!
