no worries! I hope you get some good sleep!

How many eggs are you gettin?

I candled a few of my eggs cause I couldn't help myself and pulled 5 clears. I knew it was coming because of the fact that I collected over a two to three week period, but out of the ones I spot checked I mostly focused on the older ones and was pleasantly surprised to see so many good ones. So fingers crossed for a good hatch!

Even taking 5 out, I still have quite a few left

Yay! Sounds like you have exciting stuff going on over there too! I can't even believe how much I love spring....all the wonder of baby animals (might have some baby pygmies due in May!!!) and plants and etc! Makes me so happy!!

You are looking at the basil and verde tomatillo seedlings. Just shy of 2 weeks old.

BELOW are the pepper seedlings. They took a little longer to germinate so they are a little smaller. . . .Some were just breaking the ground's surface on the day I took the photos... Two weeks old too.

YOU KNOW it is much more EXCITING to see them in PERSON! LOL

You sure have a lot of seedling growing. They look real healthy. Peppers always seem to take longer to germinate than tomatoes. Do you ever get the free tomato seed from wintersown.org? I order from them every year it is free for 6 pkts of tomato seed. You only have to send a self addressed stamped envelope with 2 stamps (.88 cents postage) and you must follow the instructions on their website and print out the order form they provide to send with your order. They are a good organization trying to save seeds from open pollinated varieties. Here is the website. They run out quickly this time of year. http://www.wintersown.org/wseo1/YourChoiceTomatoSASE.html

Are you keeping your pots outside? I have mine under lights right now. Anywhere I put them outside except the screen porch which is really shady...the chickens or the squirrels get to them when they are really small. One year I had the little greenhouse thingy full of 72 little seedings sitting outside and the squirrels came and dug out every one of them grrrrrr.

I have not tried that web site for free tomato seeds. I will look into it - - Thanks for the tip!

I have been keeping them inside on a heating pad until they germinate. Then I take them outside for the day and bring them back in for the heating pad at night.
I did this for the first 2 weeks. Now, I am not using the heating pad at night anymore.
