I could bring along about 7 roos too, to add to the Stromboli!!

I don't even know what it is, but it just made me hungry again!!

No eggs for me today, hopefully they get here tomorrow, or it will be Tuesday before I can get them due to the holiday...

In that case you better bring more than 1 bottle of wine!!!

Stromboli is anything you can imagine stuffed inside of a thin pizza type bread type dough and rolled up and baked at 500* for approx. 18-20 minutes. I like to pressure cook the Marans meat so that it is nice and tender and shredded for the inards of the boli......add anything else in the world that you want and get ready for bliss. Warning, I need heavy equipment to move me from the table to the couch after eating....but sooooooooo worth it!


On another note.....has anyone heard from Donna about the rest of her hatch?

OOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Pizza and now Stromboli, are my favorites! One of the major food groups! Somehow, my oatmeal is tasting rather bland now...

Come on out with Debbi and Vicki and we can have a Stromboli feed! Plus I have babies due to hatch on Sunday so ya'll would feel right at home....it's a big see through door on the 'bator so there is plenty of room for nose smudges.

I am so there... in heart at least. However the idea, of hatching eggs as entertainment while you eat last years chickens for sustinance, seems a bit Roman!

Hey...how's lockdown going?

I just transferred 11 perfect little wigglers to lockdown. Hoping they all hatch...these little babies go to my lovely SIL and very special big brother. He is ill and I am hoping that this will give them something to do together and focus energies and thoughts in a different direction for him and for her.

well.....lockdown is a big letdown so far....I know i have to be patient, but its hard. I put eggs in around 5 on the first day, so today at five will be beginning of day 20, Usually here with all my Marans hatches, the chicks come a day early, but so far I've heard nothing and seen no signs at all. I'm not losing hope....as there are several factors, like how this is my first dry hatch and I lost power for a day on them. I'm praying they are just slowed down.

Ok...that was way over dramatic, but that really is kind of how I feel. I still have the rest of today and til 5 on sat before they hit the start of day 21....so I still have reasonable hope something will happen!

My last Marans took their sweet time to arrive. Nobody even started until day 21 which was a shocker for me.

(Only once have I EVER had any sign of life prior to the pip. I nearly fell over, it was such a shocker. But somehow, they seem to keep on hatching.
