Marans Thread - breed discussion & pictures are welcome!

Well the blue roo will give you some splash, blues and a few blacks.
The black roo x splash 100% blues and the blue will give you 50/50 blue and blacks.

I like the splash so I would use the blue.  Either way you will get blues and blacks.

Great! The blue sounds like the better way to go to me too. Guess who gets to express their manhood tomorrow? Now, I gotta start reading in the OE forum.:ya

still lurking.... No sign of the pictures lost on my computer, DH says he backed them up, but can't seem to find them. Not in the trash/ recycle bin. I'm remembering that there are more important things in life to stress over, so trying to get over it and rebuild calendar and such.

Soooo... sprigs. I've read about them, even studied pictures posted depicting them. STILL could not point one out to save my life. As soon as I regain the ability to post pictures - a phenomenon that may indeed not ever occur. Unless, perhaps, some kind hearted teenager (is there such an animal?) takes pity on me and helps this computer inept, old lady out. IF indeed that day comes, I will post pictures of my BCM boys and find out if they have the dreaded sprigs.

BTW: LOVE the lavender eggs!!

Ok - finished!!

I need to take an egg pic for you guys!
I LOVE what I'm getting from my younger girls!!

Where in SE Pa are you? You can Pm me if you don't want to put it here...We're in NJ, my computer savvy techno geek son goes to college in Pa and just wondered by chance if we're not too far away...if he could possibly help you out with your missing pics. I know I'd be going nuts! He made me get an external HD a few years ago for just that purpose...and even now reminds me to back them all up on DVDs just so he doesn't have to see the top of his mother's head blow off if the photos ever get lost.....

Lisa! How very kind. You must have magical powers to be able to get that kind of favor from your son. I'm lucky if I can get my kids to rinse their own plates! My oldest is suggesting that I make an appointment with Apple, so I'm going to try that. Oh, and I'm about an hour south of Philly, very near Longwood Gardens.

I'm going to take pictures of the boys, one of them, with copper on his chest (a no-no, right?) has a very odd comb, kind of fat and wonky looking. Here goes! Photobucket is my friend, photobucket is my friend, photo......:p I

got a couple of pics last night. some of the eggs that will be going into the incubator....the white is a sussex egg and all the others are from Black and Splash copper ladies. Hope the bloomy eggs hatch.

I was playing with settings on my camera and caught the girls in a what looks like a gab session over their main man. Kinda cracks me up!

Blarneyeggs- Good Luck! Hope Apple can help! He's at least an hour north of Philly so that'd make 2 hrs between you and us....h(he's only 20 min from home...he helps when he wants to. When he does, he's really really good, but when he doesn't want to, ugh! You know the saying, he's horrid! and no, my boys don't rinse their dishes. They think that's "mom's job."

gilavina-I love that photo of the girls gabbing....your poor boy was left out! Too cute!
