Quote: Thanks. I have done some searches. I could not seem to find the thread that was listing all the faults with pictures...but I remember reading it. These threads move so fast...which is great and bad.

This year's kids are looking pretty good here. Too any roos by far!

Thanks again...off to search out more.

I have 2 roos crowing already & at least 5-6 more out there who are thinking about it. Fortunately, they are both pretty quiet, especially compared to Lily singing her egg song

Samuel usually starts it off between 6-7am & George follows suit. They alternate back & forth about 5-6 times & are done. They are actually so quiet that none of my neighbors have even heard them (I'm in town with neighbors on all sides) & I have only heard them 3-4 times myself. Once I was sitting right next to the pen when they started (around 11:30am) cuz I had just brought a new roo into the coop next to them & they were showing off for him. He's only about 2 months old & not crowing yet, but the other 2 are 4-7 months old & have found their voices. 2 other times it was because I was standing right next to open windows & the other time was when I was in the room in the house nearest the coop with a slightly ajar window.

I know there are some of you out there that just love birchens.... but I have decided to re-home my birchen boy Rocky. Blue coppers have stolen my heart.... lol and now it is time to send this boy off. Anyone interested?

(Psssst- he has more silver then it looks in the pictures. It was a dark day when I took these pictures)

Yes! Perfect information for a Sportsman. They are made from laminated wood. The dry hatch is for Styrofoam incubators, so It is great to make sure everyone understands that.

Don't use the Dry hatch method for the plastic incubators like the Brinsea or the wood ones like the Sportsman.

Talking about Sportsman, my husband bought me a 1502 for my birthday and I have gotten 95-100% hatch rates. I am in love with that thing! I don't think he thought about me hatching so many chicks he needs to build MORE brooders and grow out pens. lol
