saw a dead skunk on my way home today.... maybe spring will be earlywell, the possums must be thinking its spring already. Just caught one and will set traps nightly again to trap any more, since it looked to be a young one. Grrr, so frustrating. I've caught more possums in the last 2 years than in the 25 years before combined.

I sure hope so. We have massive flocks of geese heading north everyday now, so maybe they know something we don't.saw a dead skunk on my way home today.... maybe spring will be early
I agree on the skunks....yuck! Not had to deal with one of those yet, although when younger we had issues. Just hoping they will stay away. One young possum and two skunks in the live trap this last week............. (I hate skunks!).
I'd say the one on the right looking at the camera is for sure a boy. The other two you pictured might be boys also
yeah, my grandma had pet raccoons when my dad was a kid and my parents had a pet skunk that someone had descented and they took him in since the people were just going to dump him back in the wild. Only my oldest brother was around at the time and the skunk was just a young one, so it used to hide under the couch and shoot out to attack my brother's feet. He said the nails were like needles. And like you, I don't want anything around my birds that can do them harm of any kind.I had a pet skunk when i was a kid, pretty much acted like a cat. Ate catfood & used a litterbox. You could pick him up by the scruff of his neck, shake your finger & say Daniel be ashamed & he would cover his eyes with his paws. I took him to school for 4th grade show & tell. That was fun. Now dont get me wrong i don't want any anywhere near my hens.
