Thank you! And what do you mean candling didn't go well....candling the other day or candling yesterday on lockdown?

Debbi~ I was born with it...they (MD's) told me I would have to have a new one by time I hit 26, 13 years later...I'm still pluggin along. I will not surrender to the knife.....not for a very very long time, knowing me, I won't surrender at all, I'll take a wheelchair and a pink one at that before I let Dr. Slice and Dice and his collegue Dr. Hackin Whacker test out their skills on me.

All you need to do now is throw in a power failure during lockdown and you will have a grand slam of issues

Hey guys, just popping in with a quick question...

Is 12" x 12" x 12" a suitable nestbox size for Black Copper Marans? We're going to be putting some nestboxes together this weekend so that things are ready for the ladies in another month or so.

Actually you would have to add in an incubator spill lol. I had my incubator knocked off the table by my pomeranian during my first hatch. He can hear them peeping and/or pipping way before I do and he got excited and climbed up on the chair and pushed it off somehow. I think he must of got the cord tangled on his feet somehow and pulled it down.
I had no clue he was gonna go that psycho to see baby chicks hatch.
Now I put it on a real low metal end table meant for the patio and secure the cord up out of the way. That way he can stand on his hind legs and see them during the hatch and doesn't jump on it lol. He goes nuts if he can't see the babies. He loves looking into the brooder too. He wants to mother everything! He tried to steal the baby squirrel and mother it and also the cat's kittens.
