I'm not an expert on Cochins but I believe they should have feathering on the middle toe. At lest mine do. I have no idea what these are. My guess is a cross breed.

I did get a cochin from a breeder last year and just checked the toe and it is bare. Maybe it depends on the lines?

SOP said that they should be feathered on the outer and middle toe. But that may not be that easley done. All of my Cochins have it and they are hatchery stock. But I might be lucky. I would not get any from that breeder if I were trying to show, but that being said I kinda feel like the SOP may be over rated. As long as the go broody so I don't have to have chicks in the house I'm happy!

I swear by my R-Com for dark eggs.
I hatched 9 of 14( shipped) dark ,Black Penedesenca eggs.
That would never of happened with the Genesis

Still too light. I'm waiting for some good BTB chicks from Donna Prahl. I've been on the waiting list forever but she thinks she'll be able to ship them this coming Wednesday and they'll get here Friday the 9th.

Of course then it will be a long time before I can start hatching from those. *sigh*

I put shipped eggs in my Brinsea, since it's my most reliable bator.

Well that is not just based on the miss-spelling of Ameraucanas there is no color called Blue Red either.

Lucky I wanted these just for eggs and not breed. I'll sell the roos and if they are cute they may get a shot at getting a flock of their own somewhere! Oh, he was nice but slow. It may be these are mixes. I did get some pures from him, too. Including this cutie:

My comment had nothing to do with the picture only your comment and link to blue laced red Ameraucanas. They don't exist. They are not APA APPROVED and therefore are EE and the picture that brought all this up the chicks has yellow legs.

You sure that is not a MF d'Uccle?
