I'm trying to figure out why one would need a second account? I can't keep up with this one. Possible reasons: So I can have an intelligent conversation with someone? So I can have an argument without offending anyone? So I can spy on myself? 🤔
I just thought it would be hilarious to have a second account so I made one in like January but then it was too hard to keep up on both so I’ve only used it like twice 😂🤣😂

There are four forms of Marek's, ocular, visceral, cutaneous, and neurological. Sometimes they have one, sometimes that have all four. Given your guy is acting pretty normal, I suspect he has the neurological form.

Thanks! That’s interesting. I didn’t realize there were so many different types. His eyes look normal I think but

Two from each side. They look normal to me?

I had a bird that did the EXACT same thing. Two vets said likely mereks. There is a test you can do while the bird is alive but it’s not nearly as accurate as the necropsy version of the test. I have the live test done. It was negative thankfully. Since he is a rather valuable cemani rooster and we’re very attached, we had advanced imaging done. We had to go thru ct and mri and other various tests at the university vet hospital before they found two hairline fractures that he agitated.

Aside from an occasional flare up where he’s a little limpy (I treat him with meloxacam) he’s perfectly normal but not as agile as the rest. We keep him in an area with low roosts as they figure it was likely a roost related injury from jumping down. It took three weeks inside before he could walk at all. And another three weeks before he could walk well. He’s fine now. Just a little more fragile. The two vets I went to first basically told me they through mereks. The vets at the university were convinced it was not.
