Mass 5 day old chick death

I've been doing some research and several people think it could have been teflon gassing off the heat lamp. It is Little giant red bulb with a non stick base, but I can't find any other information. The word is that shatter resistant bulbs have the coating. The one surviving chick is now doing fine and I changed the bulb. Anyone heard about this problem?
This is why you were asked questions about your bulb since you had such a large loss.
The thing is if you are using a Little Giant red brooder light bulb, then likely toxicity is not your problem.

Again, can you post some photos of your set-up?

It's also possible that the outdoor birds were unrelated.

Yeah I didn't factor the outside birds into my speculation because they don't really share variables. Seems coincidental to me.

I didn't think carbon monoxide either, but other than airborne teflon I don't know what could explain such a mass death. I figured if it WAS a small carbon monoxide leak somewhere maybe small birds are more susceptible to it than a large person? Sort of the whole "canary in the mineshaft" theory. But if it was that, I don't think you'd have any survivors, as previously suggested.
