I was just trying to get a pic of how much mud she had on her face, and she tried to eat my phone. LOL.

That is interesting....and if it works, great! Never heard of that but it does make sense.LOL! It's not as awkward as it sounds. Most of our gilts and sows are well trained to lay down for belly rubs by the time they reach farrowing age so it's just a matter of walking up, rubbing their side and waiting for them to lay down. As odd as it sounds, I do regularly "milk" the pigs as it's the most accurate indication of when they will farrow. Once we're able to express milk (which at that point is actually colostrum) we'll have pigs on the ground from that sow within 12 hours. So... at the risk of sounding even weirder than I actually am, I try to milk the gilts and sows twice a day when they start getting close to their due date.
Oh man rabbit is sooo good! I don't desciminate...I eat my pets LOL (ok, not my dogs or cats...they'd go last)Anything you can do with chicken you can do with rabbit. ShakeNbunny, shredded bunny sandwich, sloppy loppys, bunny and noodles, bunny tacos....the list goes on and onAll the sudden I feel like Bubba on Forrest Gump!
Argh! Not the super creepy chewing thing! I am NOT going to quote that thing, Opa
Just came in and felt something crawling up my neck - a tick, of course.Stripped the kids down and looked them and their clothing over, and they were clear. Started on myself, and found another tick on the inside of my shirt! That makes 4 ticks in as many days! Sat down for the evening yesterday and felt one crawling up my neck, and just the previous night I woke up at 3am and foggily felt something crawling on me, pulled my arm out of the blankets and there was a tick crawling up it.I'm getting ticked off, and probably a nervous tic to boot! Sure are a lot of them this year! And can I just say, one more time,!!!!!
Juise - M.S.U. needs the swab sampled overnight so I don't know if it is a good idea to send it to them on Friday to arrive on Saturday - I don't know that the lab is open on Saturday. There is a phone number on the form I emailed you. Perhaps you can call and ask before you spend the money to test and mail.
Opa would know that something else they have in Missouri but we thankfully don't have here are chiggers. Those drive you crazy!
