Mini horse with laceration on sheath *GRAPHIC PHOTOS*

BTW, he's up to date on his tetanus vaccination, right? Did your vet want him to get another booster?
Glad it's doing well, all your good care is paying off!

Yes he is updated and no the vet didn't want one. The pantyhose fell off the day I updated on he is better and he kicked it again and it was bleeding and worse he was also running a 103 fever but we gave him some banimine and got it under control. The bleeding has stopped and swelling is going down. He is much better now. We also got him a fly sheet that he wears outside now.

So I have a 3 year old mini gelding that has been kicking his sheath because of flies. First it swelled really big and there was 2 small Knicks on it bit today he kick a large laceration on it. I cleaned it with bededine and dried it and put wonder dust on it. Is there anything else I can put on it or use to make a cover for it. Thanks

That looks really swollen, Have you ever cleaned his sheath or removed the beans from his penis?

I try but he won't drop for me. He only drops to pee so I can't, I cleaned it once like in March of last year but I really want to clean him again. Any ideas on how to get him to drop?
