Do you have swat? You can put that all around the wound to keep the flies away. When the wound heals up more and scabs over then you can put the swat all over so the flies don't reopen it.

Thanks I will cold hose 2x daily and I bought a ointment that is a anti-bacterial and fly protector so it should help. I will also clean him with Betadine 2x daily. I used a panty hose to make a sleeve to keep flies off too so he can still pee but no flies can lay eggs in it

Yes I sent them. I thought it was worse then just clean it up but apparently not. I thought he would need antibiotics or something like that so he doesn't get a infection

I use the concentrated hair oil from cowboy magic and brush at least every 3 day if not alot more. It actually stays pretty knot free though.
